THE cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro has reached 18,193 after 121 more residents tested positive for the virus.
According to the City Health Office, of the 121 new local cases, 54 were local index cases, 36 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 13 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), one Apor with link, 15 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), and two mortalities.
Cagayan de Oro now has 3,746 active cases, 909 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 2,822 were outpatients, and 15 ROFs/LSIs.
The city also registered 49 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as “recovered.” This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 13,672.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city has now reached 775 in total.
Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 4,041, the City Health Office reported.
According to the City Health Office, of the 4,041 vaccinees, 2,527 were vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine, 763 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 268 with Pfizer, 235 with Sputnik V, 233 with Janssen, four with Sinopharm, and 11 with Moderna.
