THE cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro was already at 15,517 after 142 more residents tested positive for the virus.
According to the City Health Office, of the 142 new local cases, 72 were local index cases, 52 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 15 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and three mortalities.
Cagayan de Oro recorded 2,770 active cases, 751 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 2,019 were outpatients.
The city also registered 52 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as “recovered.” This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 12,080.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was now at 667.
Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 2,693, the City Health Office reported.
According to the City Health Office, of the 2,693 vaccinees, 1,705 were vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine, 521 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 190 with Pfizer, 137 with Sputnik V, 134 with Janssen, three with Sinopharm, and three with Moderna.
