Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez; Councilor Claudio Puentevella, chairperson of the City Council committee on health; BQMH Representative Captain Lucho Giovanni; Medical Director Dr. Willy Yu; and Dr. Neifertiti Gosengfiao, business development center director, led the signing of the accord.
The BQMH is now the third private hospital in Bacolod that signed a MOA with the city for the BacCHP program.
In September, the Metro Bacolod Hospital and Medical Center and South Bacolod General Hospital signed a MOA with the city for the said program.
Benitez expressed his gratitude for the hospital’s commitment towards his flagship health program as it will further institutionalize the health assistance he envisioned.
He earlier said it is one of his promises to improve the delivery of the city’s healthcare services by allocating a budget for health and establishing the BacCHP.
Benitez also said that the BacCHP contains additional features as it aims to ensure the delivery of an integrated healthcare system that includes preventive, promotive and curative healthcare coverage by maximizing resources and programs of the government.
Then BQMH officials also announced that they will have new 30 beds ready to be used Saturday, October 15, in support of BacCHP.
