Police Lieutenant Abegael Donasco, spokesperson of Nocppo, said Tuesday, June 7, 2022, that even though they have not received any information bout any planned protest by the progressive groups in the province, they still opted to prepare.
Marcos is set to be inaugurated at the Philippine National Museum in Manila.
So far, various progressive groups in the province only held their protest a day after last month’s national and local elections, where Marcos was leading the presidential race.
Groups such as Karapatan-Negros Island, have openly rejected the win of Marcos and his runningmate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio who also won the vice presidential race.
