ROXAS City -After several weeks of a surge in COVID-19 cases in this city and Capiz province as a whole, the number is now decreasing.
Roxas City recorded zero additional cases of COVID cases on Saturday but logged 28 additional recoveries bringing the total recoveries in the city to 5, 948.
The city, as of Feb.19, has 48 active cases left and 198 deaths out of 6, 194 total confirmed cases.
Meanwhile, there are a total of 147 remaining active cases in the whole province.
The Provincial Health Office data also showed that 94.58 percent or 11, 527 of the total confirmed cases in the province have recovered while 4.21 percent of 513 are deaths.
The majority or 93.88 percent of the cases in the province are classified as mild and asymptomatic while 6.12 percent are moderate, severe, and critical.
On the other hand, there are now a total of 514, 787 Capiz residents who are vaccinated against COVID-19. This comprises 78.30 percent of the 656, 752 target population in the province.
Data further showed that 141, 965, or 21.62 percent are the remaining unvaccinated target./PN
