Eighteen district health centers are now gearing to rollout anti-Covid-19 vaccination beginning July 4, 2022 and will cater pediatric as well as adult populations.
Dr. Michelle Schlosser, spokesperson of the Davao City Covid-19 Task Force, said I hope that this is the city government of Davao’s way of bringing the vaccination closer to the people in each barangay served by each district.
“Our new vaccination rollout will be on July 4 sa atong respective district health centers so you have to know kung asa ang inyuhang health district. Currently, we have 18 health districts representing all our barangays. Tanan pediatric as well as adult population didto na pahigayunon ang atoang vaccination sa atoang mga health districts,” she said on Friday.
Schlosser said that the 18 districts have already prepared their plans in terms of logistics and processes in rolling out their vaccinations.
“We are looking at the advantage of bringing the vaccination nearer to the barangay especially na ginabutang na nato karon at the ground level ang atoang mga activities for Covid-19. I know disadvantage tong naay ubang health dsitricts nga gamay but I hope that would not be the reason why nga mubo ang atoang rollout,” she said.
She said district health centers will be rolling out vaccinations from Monday to Friday.
The Vaccination Cluster culminated the vaccination rollouts in the Crocodile and People’s Parks on Thursday.
Schlosser clarified that the mobile vaccination is still ongoing particularly the school-based.
“We have been doing that through our mobile vaccination. In fact, nabuhat na sa atong mga councilors and district health officers,” she said.
It can be recalled that the Vaccination Cluster commenced the school-based vaccination among the pediatric age group five to 11 years old at San Roque Elementary School on May 27, 2022 through the partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) aiming to increase the turnout of vaccinees in the five to 11 population age group.
