ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The municipal government of Mambusao, Capiz temporarily halted vaccination against COVID-19 after two midwives of the Rural Health Unit (RHU) were infected with the disease.
Mayor Leodegario Labao Jr. said the two midwives are in isolation while other RHU employees are under monitoring.
“The vaccination was temporarily suspended because I didn’t want that those who wanted to be vaccinated will be infected,” Labao said.
Labao said that the vaccination will resume on August 12.
On the other hand, the mayor has confirmed that some residents of Roxas City were inoculated in Mambusao.
He said that some of them were aunts and husbands who were not vaccinated in Roxas City.
The mayor also appealed to residents of their town to get vaccinated.
