The Bacolod City Comprehensive Health Program (BacCHP) was launched at the lobby of the Bacolod City Government Center yesterday along with a 5-day medical mission sponsored by the Jaime V. Ongpin (JVO) Foundation.
City Administrator Pacifico Maghari said the program is one of the top priorities of Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez which aims to ensure the delivery of an integrated health care system that includes preventive, promotive, and curative health care coverage by maximizing resources and programs of the government.
With the help of the City Health Office, barangay officials and health workers, and in coordination with Konsulta program of PhilHealth, the curative healthcare service will provide assistance and coordinate for no-copay confinement in government and private hospitals to ensure that patients have access to quality medical care. Services include medical check-ups, select laboratory services and free maintenance medicines, he said.*
