The Negros Alliance for Sectoral Concern (NASC), which is composed of various non- government organizations, young professional, social media advocates and basic sectors, aired their support to the re-election bids of Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer.
In a statement dated April 18, the NASC said they have come up with the decision to endorse the Lacson-Ferrer after series of consultations and dialogues.
With a vision and mission of promoting peace and development in the context of UN Sustainable Development Goal 2030 agenda which aims to end poverty, hunger and discrimination against women, NASC said it believes that the leadership of Gov. Lacson, with the cooperation of the local government units, has been proactive, democratic and transparent during his term.
With his ABANSE Negrense agenda, NASC said it receives numerous awards and recognition from the national and international agencies, “which is a pride and prestige to the province of Negros Occidental.”
The group also endorsed Escalante Mayor Melecio Yap, San Carlos City Mayor Renato Gustilo, Sagay City Mayor Alfredo Maranon III, Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante;
EB Magalona Mayor Marvin Malacon, Silay City Mayor Mark Golez, Talisay City Neil Lizares, and Victorias City mayoralty bet Javi Benitez, Valladolid Mayor Enrique Miravalles;
La Castellana Rhumyla Nicor Manguilimotan, Binalbagan Mayor Alejandro Mirasol, and Himamaylan City Mayor Raymund Tongson.
NASC asked its constituency “to go out, campaign and vote for them to continuously deliver the social, medical and infrastructure projects.”*
