Candidates in Kalinga for provincial posts for this year’s local elections, including other groups have joined the unity walk and peace covenant signing today, April 7 in Tabuk City.
The event was led by the Kalinga Provincial Police Office and Commission on Elections Kalinga as the ‘unity walk’ started at the St. William’s Cathedral all the way to the Capitol Gymnasium.
Police Major Garry Gayamos led the pledge of integrity, while Attorney Elenita Capuyan Tabangin provided the overview and purpose of the activity, highlighting that the said activity aims to let the public know about the candidates’ and law enforcement officers’ commitment to keeping the election period peaceful.
The signing of the Peace Covenant followed the pledge ceremony where it was graced by candidates Allen Jesse Mangaoang, Roy Dickpus, Engr. Ferdinand B. Tubban, representatives of Conrado Dieza, Jocel C. Baac, Atty. Dave Odiem, Raul Poblete, Harley Jay Duguiang, Frederick Pangsiw, Lester Lee Tarnate and Roger Saga-oc together with DILG PD Engr. Mayer Max Adong and KPPO PD PCol Peter M Tagtag Jr.
