Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – The camp of Presidential aspirant Senator Manny Pacquaio has bared on Tuesday, that he has recently tested negative in two drug tests.
The Senator’s camp added that his drug tests were done last July and September via the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association before his final boxing fight in August against Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugas.
The boxer-turned-lawmaker’s camp said in a statement, “The test covers a wide range of performance enhancing drugs that include anabolic agents like steroids and all stimulants like cocaine and metamphetamin. In both tests, Pacquiao was found negative of any of the substances prohibited by the World Boxing Council.”
In the world of professional sports including boxing, anti-doping groups conduct routine drug testing in athletes to ensure performance enhancing drugs as well as illicit drugs are not used. TNF
