CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu provincial government will be giving kilos of rice and vitamins to the newly-vaccinated individuals who will participate in the three-day National Vaccination Days on November 29 to December 1, 2021.
A memorandum dated November 24, 2021 was issued by Governor Gwendolyn Garcia to all the local chief executives in Cebu Province including village chiefs regarding the incentives.
The province will provide two kilos of rice and a supply of vitamin C with Zinc and vitamin B complex good for one month to those who will participate in the said vaccination drive.
Meanwhile, in Dumanjug, all employees of the Municipal Hall there are now vaccinated against COVID-19.
This was revealed by Mayor Efren “Gungun” Gica during the turnover of a road project in Barangay Cotcoton.
Gica said his memorandum on August 23, 2021 regarding the vaccination of the employees had helped the LGU inoculate all its employees.
He noted that the town will start the inoculation drive at the barangay level next month.
As to date, the LGU has been able to fully vaccinate at least 20,000 of its residents.
Gica said they will not stop until they will be able to inoculate the whole eligible population. — GMR (FREEMAN)
