Audio equipment such as a mixer and wireless microphone were stolen from San Rafael Arkanghel Parish Church on September 10, 2022.
The church management sought the help of the public for the recovery of the items through their Facebook page on the same day.
More than a month later, a private citizen turned over the said items at the Mabalacat City Police Station.
Authorities said the private citizen, who asked for anonymity, was able to buy the said equipment from sellers without knowing it was stolen.
The buyer then saw the Facebook post which prompted him to coordinate with the local police.
Father Olet Lopez, a priest in said church, confirmed that the items were the ones stolen based on the inventory number stuck on the equipment.
He expressed gratitude to the private citizen and the Mabalacat City Police for their action which led to the recovery of the church equipment.
Mabalacat City Police chief Abraham Abayari said the suspects on the robbery case are already identified but remain at large as of yesterday.
