The move aimed to stop the rise of dengue cases in town since May of this year.
The local government said on Monday that the number of dengue cases in town from January to July are already at 251.
The number is around 191.86% higher than the 86 cases logged on the same period in 2021.
The number started to rise in May this year with 30 recorded cases.
Some 118 cases were logged on June, and 62 cases are already seen even before the end of July.
Sagum said precautionary measures must be implemented immediately.
“Regular clean-up drives and fogging in town is scheduled every Thursdays and Fridays. We also provided anti-dengue pesticide to all barangays here,” he said.
Aside from these, Sagum said continuous vector monitoring will also be conducted by the barangay health workers in their respective areas.
