This was according to Acting Mayor Michael Sagum, who issued Executive Order 02 S. 2022, which provided guidelines for the management of Covid-19 cases in town.
According to Sagum, only those who have essential activities outdoors such as medical or dental appointments are exempted from the said measure provided they bring their vaccination card at all times.
“Dini-discourage talaga muna natin silang lumabas lalo na online class pa din naman sila. Para mabawasan muna ulit ang exposure at risk nila sa virus,” he said.
He added that the measure also aims to encourage individuals who have yet to be vaccinated to get jabbed for their own protection.
“Sa ngayon kasi, halos lahat talaga mas okay na wag lumabas lalo na kung hindi pa vaccinated so dapat magpabakuna na talaga sila,” Sagum said.
Aside from minors, those belonging to the vulnerable population, such as persons with comorbidities, are also prohibited from going outside of their homes if not necessary.
He urged Candabeños to get themselves vaccinated immediately to protect themselves and their families from the virus.
“Tuluy-tayo pa rin ang pagbabakuna natin kaya doon sa mga hindi pa nakakapagpa-first dose or doon sa mga hindi pa nagpa-booster shot, magpunta na kayo sa mga vaccination sites natin,” he said.
