The San Fernando Electric Light and Power Company (Sfelapco) and Angeles Electric Corporation (AEC) sent their linemen and some equipment to assist in energization or repair of collapsed poles or downed lines caused by Typhoon Odette (Kai).
Sfelapco and AEC are among the many electric companies and cooperatives that have extended helping hands to Visayan Electric Co. to fast-track the restoration of power in the Visayas region.
As of January 2, Visayas Electric Co. reported that it has already energized 131,065 out of the 474,182 affected customers, and restored 375 or 68.9 percent out of the 544 power line segments, within its franchise area.
It expressed gratitude to Sfelapco and AEC for sharing their time and effort to aid them and the people of Visayas in the time of need.
“In this time of crisis, Visayan Electric appreciates all the help we are currently getting from other distribution utilities from all over the country. Daghang salamat sa mga bag-ong tabang nga niabot gikan sa Angeles Electric Corporation, San Fernando Electric Light and Power Company,” it said.
