PALAYAN City Mayor Adrianne Mae Cuevas has filed her certificate of candidacy for Nueva Ecija governor in next year’s polls.
“Naghain na po ako ng aking certificate of candidacy bilang gobernador ng ating lalawigan,” the mayor stated in her
social media account on Saturday, October 2, 2021.
Cuevas, who is running under the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) coalition, thanked President Rodrigo Duterte for selecting her as standard
bearer of the ruling political party.
gobernador ng partidong PDP-Laban,” she said.
Cuevas is the national treasurer of the Cusi-led PDP-Laban faction.
Vowing to work for a new Nueva Ecija, Cuevas said she is offering herself to serve the entire province and
its people.
The mayor also pledged to work for employment, health and other services in the province if she is elected governor.
Cuevas’s runningmate for vice governor under the same party is former vice governor Edward Joson.
The mayor and Joson will oppose reelectionists Governor Aurelio Umali and his brother, Vice Governor Anthony Umali.
