THE agricultural town of Magalang, Pampanga, which sits at the foot of Mount Arayat, has recorded four new Covid-19 deaths on Saturday, August 14, 2021.
The fatalities included a 53-year-old woman from Barangay San Pedro 2, a 71-year-old man from Barangay San Isidro, a 51-year-old man from Barangay San Roque and a 66-year-old man from Barangay San Nicolas 2.
A total of 64 residents had died from the virus since the start of the pandemic in 2020.
The local government unit also reported 13 new cases of Covid-19, including a 1-year-old boy from Barangay San Vicente and a 76-year-old woman from Barangay San Isidro.
Mayor Romy Pecson said 930 out of the 1,074 total patients had recovered from the virus.
There were 105 active cases as of August 14, according to the mayor.
Pecson appealed to his constituents to continue observing health protocols to prevent infection.
