3,477 Pampangos still in evacuation centers

SOME 914 families or 3,477 individuals are still in 67 evacuation centers in 10 towns of Pampanga, as 114 barangays still remain in floodwater, particularly in the province’s perennially flooded 4th District.

This brought the total number of families affected by flooding to 69,742 families, according to reports from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Reports from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Pampanga shows that some 114 barangays in 11 local government units are still flooded. These include the perennially flooded towns of Masantol and Macabebe. Masantol town currently has 25 barangays in floodwater, along with 22 barangays in Macabebe town.

Six barangays in Apalit are also flooded. Santo Tomas town also reported flooding in six of its barangays along with five barangays of San Simon.

In the Second District, the coastal town of Guagua also reported flooding in 15 of its barangays, while Lubao town reported flooding in 24 of its barangays.
