“Buot pasabot, i-suspende sab ang drop box system (This also means that we will suspend the drop box system). We will not accept any documents or requirements through the drop boxes in the whole region). Since we have received a lot of applications regionwide),” DSWD said on their Facebook page on August 31, 2022.
DSWD-Davao initially announced a temporary suspension of submission of applications on August 27 to give them enough time to assess and evaluate the 100,000 applications received on that day.
We want to give everyone a chance, especially those who really needs it. We would also like to assure that all documents we received are safe and secured),” DSWD said.
DSWD said they will prioritize assessing the first two batches of applications that they have received since the rollout. The agency has also advised applicants to wait for further notice.
Meanwhile, as of August 27, 2022, DSWD is almost halfway distributing to their target 25,000 households in the region. At present, the agency has already served 11,023 beneficiaries with a total of P27,050,000 cash aid. Davao City already released aid to 8,662, Davao del Norte with 2,191, Davao del Sur with 1,170, Davao Oriental with 1,595, Davao Occidental with 1,989, and Davao de Oro with 874 beneficiaries. (KSD)
