A WEEKEND schedule for anti-Covid-19 vaccination at district health centers in Davao City is being eyed by the Davao City Covid-19 Task Force.
“Isa na sa mga ginatanaw nga proposition sa ubang district health offices, kasi just like before daghan gihapon ug gusto og (That is one of the proposition of our other district health offices because just like before, many want a schedule on) Saturday but our district health office is operational Monday to Fridays only,” Spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser said during an interview with the Davao City Disaster Radion on July 15, 2022.
She mentioned that the district health center in Barangay Agdao is the first to conduct a weekend vaccination rollout and hopes that other centers can follow soon.
Schlosser said the City Health Office is making arrangements to properly schedule the human resources and logistics at the district health offices for the weekend rollout.
“It’s a matter of arranging and putting up a team na mag fill in didto sa Saturdays (to fill in during Saturdays)… Offsetting lang gyod na but it also needs arrangement,” she said, clarifying that the other services in the district health center should not run out of personnel for the sake of the weekend vaccination.
She added, “I’m pretty much sure the other district health centers are also doing their scheduling and offsetting para ma-serve nila ilang katawhan (so they can cater to their constituents).”
At the same time, Schlosser mentioned that the Task Force will raise the concern to Mayor Sebastian Duterte and come up with a concrete plan regarding the Saturday Covid-19 vaccination.
Meanwhile, Schlosser said almost all of the district health centers designated for the Covid-19 vaccination are fully functional as of this week, except for the center in Paquibato which is expected to begin its rollout next week.
Based on the Department of Health in Davao Region (DOH-Davao) Covid-19 Case Bulletin, 3,206,629 are already fully vaccinated against Covid-19, while 507,120 are administered with the booster dose.
