DAVAO City has recorded a zero positivity rate, but Dabawenyos are still advised to leave no room for complacency against Covid-19 by observing the minimum public health measures and availing of the vaccination.
As of May 9, 2022, the Covid-19 Task Force Daily case bulletin showed a zero positivity rate among 228 individuals tested for Covid-19. In the same period, the city also recorded no deaths and new cases.
Also, in the Risk Assessment Map on the Impact of the Covid-19 that was generated on May 7, 2022, all the 182 barangays are now under minimal risk – the lowest classification of the Covid-19 assessment in the city. This classification applies from May 10, 2022, to May 14, 2022.
The week before (May 2 to May 7), Barangay Maa was the sole moderate risk barangay while A. Angliongto Sr., Talomo Proper, and Tibungco were classified as low-risk barangays.
Despite the zero positivity rate and minimal risk classification, Dabawenyos are reminded to observe the minimum public health measures for their protection against Covid-19, especially the wearing of face masks.
Deputized officers and Davao City Police Office continues to apprehend those who are not wearing a facemask under the Face Mask Ordinance.
An individual apprehended for not wearing a face mask is fined P500 for the first offense; P2,000 for a second offense; and, P5,000 or one-month imprisonment for the third offense.
Failure to pay the fines three to five days after the issuance of citation tickets results in the filing of cases in court. (CIO)
