Only 4 Covid-19 deaths recorded in DavNor since start of April

DAVAO del Norte has tallied four Covid-19 deaths beginning April 2022, based on the latest data of the Provincial health Office of Davao del Norte.

Three of these deaths were from Tagum City and each was April 3, 6, and 8, 2022 while, the remaining case was recorded on April 2, 2022 in the Municipality of Santo Tomas.

Because of this, the Covid-19 death tally of Tagum City is now at 472 and Santo Tomas has 291 as of Friday, April 8, 2022 – both are the highest death tally in Davao del Norte.

For the other provinces, Panabo City has the third-highest deaths with 243 cases, followed by the Island Garden City of Samal with 119 deaths.

The rest of the local government units, on the other hand, have less than 100 death cases. This includes the municipality of Talaingod which has the least number of deaths with eight cases, San Isidro with 17 deaths, New Corella with 36, and Asuncion with 39.

Followed by B. E. Dujali with 51 deaths, Kapalong with 63, and Carmen with 78.

This brings the total death toll of the province to 1,417.

Meanwhile, 11 new cases of coronavirus disease were also reported for the same time period, the highest of which was two cases for April 4, 6, and 8. For the rest of the days from April 1 to 8, only one confirmed case was recorded for each day.

As of April 8, the number of Covid-19 positive cases in Davao del Norte is 24,641 wherein Tagum City also has the highest number in the province with 10,585 and Talaingod with the least cases with 183 as of April 8.

In addition, Panabo City has the second-highest number of cases with 4,193, followed by Santo Tomas with 2,263, IGACOS with 2,301, Kapalong with 1,549, and Carmen with 1,456.

The rest have less than 1,000 Covid-19 cases with San Isidro with 374, B. E. Dujali with 448 cases, New Corella with 637, and Asuncion with 652. (ICM)
