DAVAO Region’s allocation of the Covid-19 vaccines already reached more than 1.1 million doses following the arrival of three batches of vaccines this week.
According to the Department of Health (DOH)-Davao Region as of July 16, the region has already received a total of 1,120,730 doses of Covid-19 vaccines since the first delivery of vaccine in March 2021.
The vaccine brands that were allocated by the national government are Sinovac’s CoronaVac, Oxford AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech, and Gamaleya Sputnik V.
DOH-Davao, however, did not provide a breakdown per vaccine brand.
A total of 11,100 doses of Gamaleya Sputnik V vaccines arrived in Davao City on Tuesday morning, July 13.
DOH-Davao said of the 11,100 doses, 900 are intended for the second dose and 10,200 are for the first dose of the Priority A1 to A5 eligible groups.
According to the National Vaccine Deployment for Covid-19 of the DOH, Priority A1 group are workers in frontline health services, A2 are the senior citizens, A3 are persons with comorbidities, A4 are frontline personnel in essential sectors (including uniformed personnel), and A5 are the indigent population (including indigenous peoples and 4Ps beneficiaries).
On Wednesday, July 14, 133,900 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines arrived. These vaccines are intended for the first and second dose of the A1 – A5 eligible priority groups in the region.
The region received its third batch of Covid-19 vaccines this week on Friday, July 16, wherein 61,920 doses of Sinovac vaccines were delivered.
DOH-Davao has yet to release the data of allocation per local government units (LGUs) in the region.
As of July 14, based on the 1,058,810 allocated doses, 853,600 doses were already delivered to different LGUs, while the remaining 205,210 doses already allocated and still for delivery to the different LGUs. The July 14 figures have not yet included the vaccines that arrived on July 16.
A total of 611,838 doses were already administered in the entire region, wherein 479,936 were given for the first doses, and 131,902 for the second dose.
On the breakdown of priority groups in the region, a total of 99,606 doses were given for A1 first dose and 69,090 for the second dose.
For A2, 145,210 doses were already administered for the first dose, while 22,685 were given for the second dose.
A total of 157,948 first doses were given for A3, and 39,354 for the second dose.
For A4, 69,547 were given for the first dose, and 603 for the second dose.
