CHD head Dr. Jeffrey Ibones told SunStar Cebu Monday, October 17, 2022, that they have tested 40 individuals who have shown some symptoms of the infectious disease but the result turned out negative.
“Pag test, wala man, negative man siya… Wala tay confirmed (cases) pero naa tay mga suspected,” said Ibones.
Ibones said measles has the same symptoms as other infectious diseases like dengue that would trigger the appearance of rashes on the person’s skin.
The Department of Health has identified Cebu Province and the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu as areas in Central Visayas that may soon see a measles outbreak. (IRT)
