BANDO Bag-ong Mandaue mayoral candidate Nilo “Olin” Seno said he will continue to help Mandauehanons despite his defeat to re-elected Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes.
In an interview with SunStar Cebu on Tuesday, May 17, Seno also condemned the reported massive vote buying during the recently concluded May 9 elections.
But he said his service for the Mandauehanos will never stop despite his unsuccessful bid for the city’s highest post.
Seno was unable to beat Cortes in the mayoral race, as he only got 82,182 votes compared to the latter’s 102,786 votes.
One of the reasons for his defeat was the massive vote buying that had been reported to him by his supporters.
He said the vote buying started a day before the election on May 8 until the election day, May 9.
SunStar is trying to get the reaction of Cortes on Seno’s vote-buying allegations as of this posting. (HIC)
