THE daughter of vice president and presidential candidate Leni Robredo is in Cebu on Friday, April 8, 2022, to personally help in the house-to-house campaigns for her mother’s candidacy.
In a press conference on Friday, Aika Robredo and members of her team were in Cebu to help strengthen their house-to-house campaign as a way to bolster her mother’s chances of winning the presidency.
Aside from the vice president’s daughter, also present were Ella Pangilinan and John Pangilinan, the niece and brother of vice presidential candidate and senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.
Aika said they chose to do house-to-house campaigning as it was always been her mother’s campaign strategy when she ran for vice president in 2013.
Aika said their house-to-house campaigns aims to know each voter they are dealing with directly and to make known of Robredo’s campaign promises in a personal level.
“It’s an opportunity for us to listen to them and try to understand them more on what they are fighting for. Our initial goal is really to listen,” said Aika.
Meanwhile, Aika welcomed members of the Ikaw Muna (IM) Pilipinas Visayas chapter, who recently expressed their support for her mother’s candidacy for president.
IM Pilipinas Visayas chapter initially supported the presidential bid of Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso.
Aika and the rest of the LENI-KIKO tandem will be having a series of campaign activities for their
three-day stay in Cebu.
Some of the activities they will do are the “AIKAsadya Sa Sugbo,” a family fun walk organized by the Cebu Youth for Leni, and house to house campaigns in Naga and Talisay City. (HIC)
