ISKO MORENO
Domagoso said he will prioritize the provision of housing for Filipinos and boost the country’s education, health, tourism, business and agriculture sectors, which were badly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, should he be elected as president in the upcoming national polls.
He is running for president under Aksyon Demokratiko party.
Housing
Domagoso said his government will allot 1.3 percent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) each year for the building of one million units of houses for 4.5 million Filipinos in six years.
He said there will be vertical housing within cities and row houses in the countryside, depending on the availability of lands.
Education
Domagoso said there will be a 4.3-percent education budget to GDP ratio in order to further widen the accessibility to quality basic education with a focus on science and technology, engineering and mathematics, improve student-teacher ratio and the continuous upscaling of teacher’s competence.
He said his government will invest in early childhood education and development.
Labor and Employment
Domagoso said they will help revive the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) after being greatly impacted by the pandemic.
He said he will bestow a joint mission for the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Science and Technology and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to support MSMEs for the upgrade of their business models and increase the loans pool from P1.5 billion to P30 billion.
He said he is also looking at putting up more agro-industrial zones with modern technological facilities and imposing programs to generate more jobs for the Filipino people.
