THE Cebu City Local School Board (LSB) has made an assurance that there would be enough classrooms that can be used during the May 9, 2022 elections despite the damage brought by typhoon Odette on December 16, 2021.
Melissa dela Cruz, chairman of the Cebu City LSB, said the school facilities that were damaged by the typhoon are now undergoing repairs in preparation for the coming national and local elections.
Dela Cruz said there were 112 structures or 80 percent of the 140 structures in 80 school campuses in Cebu City that were damaged by the typhoon.
She said the schools that suffered great damage during the typhoon are located in the mountain barangays of Pung-ol Sibugay and Babag after its roofs were blown off during the onslaught of typhoon Odette. (PAC, TPT)
