According to the City Health Office, of the four new cases, two were local index cases, one was a local case with link, and one local authorized person outside residence (Apor).
According to the City Health Office medical officer Dr. Teodoro Yu Jr., the two local index cases involved a 23-year-old male from Barangay Cugman and a 71-year-old male from the same barangay. Both of them are vaccinated and are currently isolated at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center.
The one local case with link was a 34-year-old female from Barangay Macasandig and the local Apor was a 24-year-old female from Barangay Patag. Both of them are vaccinated.
The total number of Cagayan de Oro’s active cases is now at six, of which three were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center, two were outpatients and one returning overseas Filipino (ROF).
The total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro is now at 24,924.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in Cagayan de Oro remains at 941 in total, with no new Covid-related deaths recorded in the city.
