WITH the steady decline in the number of new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, Cagayan de Oro’s active cases have drop to 13.
The top nine barangays in Cagayan de Oro City now have less than five active Covid-19 cases left.
Based on the data presented by the City Health Office, as of April 20, 2022, Barangay Patag and Carmen had three active cases, followed by Barangays Lapasan, Barangay 40, Macabalan, Tablon, Bulua, Agusan and Cugman with one active case each.
The cumulative number of active cases in Cagayan de Oro has dropped to 13, of which six were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city and seven were outpatients.
Majority or 87 percent of Covid-19 mortalities recorded in Cagayan de Oro City were unvaccinated individuals.
As of April 20, the city had a total of 939 Covid-19 deaths, of which 821 were unvaccinated individuals while 118 were vaccinated individuals.
