According to the City Health Office, of the five new cases, two were local index cases and three were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors).
According to the City Health Office medical officer Dr. Teodoro Yu Jr., the two local index cases involve a 17-year-old male from Barangay Tablon and a 20-year-old male from Barangay Lapasan.
The three local Apors, on the other hand, involve a 52-year-old male from Barangay Bugo, a 24-year-old female from Barangay 1, and a 49-year-old male from Barangay Carmen.
All of the five new local cases were vaccinated.
The total number of Cagayan de Oro’s active cases is now 18, of which 11 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city and seven were outpatients.
The city’s number of recoveries is still at 24,858.
Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remained at 935, with no new Covid-related deaths recorded in Cagayan de Oro.
