The top seven barangays in Cagayan de Oro City now have less than 20 active Covid-19 cases left.
Based on the data presented by the City Health Office, the barangay with the highest number of active cases was Nazareth with 14 as of March 6, 2022.
It was followed by Barangay Kauwsagan with 12 cases, Carmen with 12 cases, Lumbia with nine cases, Bugo with seven cases, Balulang with six cases, and Canitoan with six cases.
The cumulative number of active cases in Cagayan de Oro has dropped to 127, of which 77 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 50 were outpatients.
Meanwhile, the majority or 88 percent of Covid-19 mortalities recorded in Cagayan de Oro City were unvaccinated individuals.
As of February 27, the city had a total of 927 Covid-19 deaths, of which 819 were unvaccinated individuals while 108 were vaccinated individuals.
