“We need to fast track our vaccination,” Moreno said.
The city mayor’s worry stems from the detection of more cases of highly transmissible Omicron variant of Sars-CoV-2.
Meanwhile, Cagayan de Oro will soon begin its pre-registration for the vaccination rollout of the age group of five to 11 years old, the City Health Office announced on Thursday, January 6, 2022.
“Sa age group na five to 11, mag-o-open na tayo ng pre-registration link para at least maka register as early as now,” City Health Office medical officer Dr. Ted Yu said during the daily press conference at the city hall on Thursday.
“Di pa po bakuna. Pre-registration pa po,” he added.
According to Yu, the pre-registration process for this age group is the same as the one for children 12 to 17 years old, wherein it involves two categories: with no comorbidity and with comorbidity.
