According to City Health Office Dr. Ted Yu, the three-day vaccination drive was postponed based on the mandate of the National Government.
“Hindi lang po Region 10 (Northern Mindanao), but all region sa Mindanao, including Visayas, ang na move due to the typhoon Odette sa December 20, 21 and 22,” Yu said.
“Pero tuloy ang bakuna natin tomorrow (Wednesday, December 15) sa mega sites,” he added.
Yu said that for Thursday and Friday, they will have to wait for the weather advisory from the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Department (CDRRMD).
As of December 13, Cagayan de Oro has administered a total of 894,200 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines. The number of individuals who got their first dose of the vaccines was at 534,611, of which 355,672 were fully vaccinated and those who got their booster shots was at 3,917.
Of the 355,672 fully vaccinated individuals, 28,147 were frontline healthcare workers, 37,447 were senior citizens, 64,520 were persons with comorbidities, 161,263 were essential frontline workers, 17,341 were from the A5 priority group, 28,157 were from the ROAP groups, and 18,797 were from Pedia A3 and ROPP groups.
