Covid-19 recoveries in Cagayan de Oro climb to over 17,000

THE total number of people who have recovered from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro City continued growing, reaching 17,821 after 187 residents were tagged as recovered.

The City Health Office also recorded 22 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed infections to 19,856.

Of the 22 new local cases, nine were local index cases, and 13 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases.

The City Health Office also noted a continuous decline of active cases in the city, logging in a cumulative number of 1,200 active cases.

Of figure, 361 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 836 were outpatients, and three were ROFs/LSIs.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was now at 835.

Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus-positive vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 4,931, the City Health Office reported.

According to the City Health Office, of the 4,931 vaccinees, 3,069 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 912 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 330 with Pfizer, 290 with Sputnik V, 301 with Janssen, six with Sinopharm, and 23 with Moderna.
