THE cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro has reached 18,788 after one returning overseas Filipino worker (ROF) and 101 more residents tested positive for the virus.

According to the City Health Office, of the 101 new local cases, 52 were local index cases, 31 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 13 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), one Apor with link, two persons deprived of liberty, and two mortalities.

Cagayan de Oro now has 3,838 active cases, 918 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 2,905 were outpatients, and 15 ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered 82 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as “recovered.” This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 14,148.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city has now reached 802 in total.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 4,386, the City Health Office reported.

According to the City Health Office, of the 4,386 vaccinees, 2,734 were vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine, 830 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 287 with Pfizer, 261 with Sputnik V, 257 with Janssen, five with Sinopharm, and 12 with Moderna.
