THE number of new Covid infections in Cagayan de Oro remains to be at two digits as the City Health Office reported 46 new cases and zero deaths Friday, October 1, 2021.
The new cases increased the Covid-19 case count in the city to 19,545.
According to the City Health Office, of the 46 new local cases, 32 were local index cases, five were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, five were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), one Apor with link, and three persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).
Cagayan de Oro’s active cases has also gone down to 2,744,587 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 2,141 were outpatients, and 16 ROFs/LSIs.
The city also registered 294 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as “recovered.” This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 15,974.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city has remained at 827 in total.
Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 4,787, the City Health Office reported.
According to the City Health Office, of the 4,787 vaccinees, 2,980 were vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine, 899 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 317 with Pfizer, 280 with Sputnik V, 284 with Janssen, six with Sinopharm, and 21 with Moderna.
