But Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz II noted that Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has ordered not to give Incentive Benefit for Exemplary Services (Ibes), which was given as part of additional bonus for employees after it was disallowed by the Commission on Audit (COA).
Last year, employees received Ibes at P25,000 each while the total bonus they got was at P65,000.
“Until the disallowances are resolved by the Supreme Court, we will only give an extra or additional bonus based on the guidelines set by Malacañang through the Department of Budget and Management and COA,” Diaz said.
He said Lacson has been ordered to find other means to give the employees extra bonus without repeatedly receiving disallowances from the COA.
The employees’ bonuses are already programmed by the governor, Diaz said, without giving the exact amount yet.
He also assured that the job order casuals will continue with their work as the provincial government allocated a budget for their wages.*
