KNP is a group of lawmakers that formally launched a movement called Kilusan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino (KNP) to heed President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s call for unity, reject politics of division, and be a unifying factor to achieve the government’s development goals.
“I’m helping because we see that unity and teamwork or Pagkakaisa is a solution for the problem in the country,” Benitez said.
He said they are open to membership for those who believe that what the country needs is teamwork and unity,” he said.
enitez also clarified that unlike the Hugpong Ng Pagbabago of Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio, KNP is not a regional political party.
The mayor added that the movement already has thousands of members in the country composed of political leaders and sectoral groups.
Majority of the members of the Visayan Bloc where Benitez is also one of the covenors are also members of KNP.
