Dr. Marsette Sabbaluca, Schools Division superintendent of DepEd-Negros Occidental, said these towns are EB Magalona, Don Salvador Benedicto, Pontevedra, Toboso and Valladolid.
Sabbaluca said, as of July 12, there were 252 of the 581 public elementary schools and 10 of the 117 private schools under the supervision of DepEd-Division of Negros Occidental that are ready for in-person learning.
“Our data do not include those under the city schools divisions,” she said.
Sabbaluca said DepEd Division of Negros Occidental is preparing for the in-person classes using the School Safety Assessment Tool as they are targeting all schools in the province to comply with it.
“This is to ensure that when students return to schools on August 22, these (schools) are ready and safe,” she said, adding that “all schools should be open.”
