Atty. Alberto Nellas Jr., provincial legal officer, said yesterday, June 17, said that the preliminary investigation was conducted after the Department of Health (DoH) referred the complaints to them.
Nellas said the complaints involved two doctors from Isabela town, who were complaining for behavioral issues.
The other complaint was lodged against another doctor and the two staff members from La Carlota City for alleged illegal transactions, he said.
“Once (the preliminary investigation is done, we will refer this to Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, who is the head of the Provincial Public Health Committee,” Nellas said.
Under the law, the Public Health Committee is in-charge of hearing complaints against medical health workers.
“We are now in the process of synthesizing the information we gathered and we will call them (the medical workers being complained) to explain their sides,” Nellas noted.
