Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Lacson said United Negros Alliance (Unega) and Love Negros are still undecided who to support for president in the coming May 2022 elections.

Lacson, who belongs to Love Negros, said also they have not received an invitation yet among the national candidates.

The present situation as far as the national elections is concerned is challenging, he added.

Earlier, the governor said he may decide next year about his backing of the presidential and vice presidential candidates.

There is no point of squabbling about politics because it will be over after the May 9, 2022 elections, he said, adding that the people should judge them based on their performance as incumbent officials.

Among the presidential candidates who personally met with Lacson during their visit to the province were Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Panfilo Lacson.
