THE First Time Voters Network (FTVN) is not a part of Gugma Banwa (Guban), an electoral advocacy movement launched in October 2021, a member of the latter’s secretariat said.
Joshua Eusebio Jr. said FTVN is not affiliated with the movement and did not show any intentions to join the movement even on its conceptualization process.
He said the Diocese of Bacolod and the Bacolod Youth Coalition for Democracy are the main convenors of Guban.
Guban Movement was launched in the belief that the voters of Bacolod City and Negros Occidental have the power to reform the local and national government by collectively supporting and pushing for good governance.
The group also pledged to protect the sacred votes of the Filipino people for the progress and development of the city, province and the whole country through clean and honest governance.
