Bacolod administers 64,513 doses of Covid-19 vaccines

THE Bacolod City Covid-19 Vaccination Council (CoVac) already administered a total of 64 513 doses Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines in the city.

Emergency Operations Center (EOC) records showed from March 5 to June 30, 2021, CoVac administered a total of 64,513 doses of vaccines. Of the number, 21,290 doses were AstraZeneca vaccines and 43,513 doses were Sinovac vaccines.

On the same date, a total of 11,047 persons in Bacolod City already received their second doses of Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines, while 53,566 persons also received their first dose of vaccines.

The City Government earlier received an additional 7,800 doses of Sinovac vaccines from the National Government.

Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, chairman of Bacolod City Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), earlier said the additional 7,800 doses of Sinovac vaccines will be administered to the priority groups A1 (frontline health care workers), A2 (senior citizens), and A3 (adults with comorbidities).

Aside from 7,800 doses of Sinovac vaccines, the city also earlier received about 32,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines from the National Government.

Familiaran said he is hopeful that by next week, the City will also get additional Pfizer vaccines from the national government.

The City has an ongoing vaccination rollout at SM City Bacolod, Ayala Malls Capitol Central, and Robinsons Place Bacolod.

The vaccination centers will accommodate the healthcare workers (A1), senior citizens (A2), and persons with comorbidities (A3) eligible priority groups who have yet to receive Covid-19 vaccine jabs.

The City will accommodate only those who have completed their vaccination registration and have received a call or text from the Emergency Operations Center of their confirmed appointments.

To avail of the free vaccination, Bacolod residents should register online through the link tinyurl.com/bcdceironline or go personally to their respective barangay halls.
