BACOLOD City – A 36-year-old laborer was shot to death in Barangay Carabalan, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19.
Regie Soledad, a resident of the palce, succumbed to gunshot wounds on his head and back.
Himamaylan City police identified the suspects as Dandy Salvador and Jun-jun Balsimo, both residents of Barangay Carabalan, too.
Soledad was walking with his family in the plaza when the suspects shot him, police said.
Police added the gunmen fled towards the direction of Santo Tapol, Barangay Carabalan.
Soledad was rushed to the Gov. Valeriano M. Gatuslao Hospital but was declared “dead on arrival” by the attending physician.
As of this writing, the Himamaylan City police have yet to identify the suspects and the motive behind the shooting./PN
