ILOILO City – Aside from the six city police station chiefs, 75 police personnel of the Mandurriao police station and 15 personnel of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) were also relieved from their posts effective Feb. 2 and 3, respectively.
“Ginpang-reassign kag ginpang-transfer sa iban nga mga units,” said Police Major Shella Mae Sangrines, spokesperson of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO).
She added that the 75 new personnel for Mandurriao police station were taken from other police units in the city:
* four from Iloilo City Police Station 1 (ICPS1)
* seven from La Paz police station
* 26 from Jaro police station
* 20 from Molo police station
* 13 from Arevalo police station
* two from Iloilo City Mobile Force Company (ICMFC)
* three from Mobile Patrol Unit (MPU)
Meanwhile, the 15 new personnel of the CDEU were replaced with new operatives.
“Ang mga bag-o nga CDEU personnel or operatives ginpa-idalom sa vetting process,” Sangrines told Panay News.
The records and background of the personnel were reviewed to make sure they have no connection to illegal activities, especially drug trafficking, said Sangrines./PN
