In the entire province, 504,213 people were full vaccinated or 27.62 percent of the target population.
According to Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, provincial administrator, the Department of Health (DOH) in Region 6 sent 11 vaccination teams composed of three nurses and an information technology personnel to augment in the second round of the national vaccination drive.
The teams would be deployed in the cities of Kabankalan, San Carlos, Sipalay, Bago, and Himamaylan and the towns of Cauayan, Hinigaran, Moises Padilla and Toboso.
“Residents of far flung areas in these LGUs (local government units) still have vaccine hesitancy,” Diaz said.
The provincial government is intensifying its campaign both in mainstream media and social media with video and voice clips of Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and Manila-based actors encouraging Negrenses to have themselves vaccinated./PN
