BACOLOD City – Ninety-two percent of the total personnel of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) have been vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Of the 1,169 total police personnel, 1,078 received shots of various COVID-19 vaccine brands, data (as of Aug.10) of the BCPO showed.
Police Major Sherlock Gabana, spokesperson of the BCPO, said those inoculated were 34 Police Commissioned Officers, 998 Police Non-Commissioned Officers and 46 Non-Uniformed Personnel.
It was unclear as of this writing how many completed their vaccination (second dose).
Police Colonel Manuel Placido, BCPO director, in coordination with the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) here, initiated the vaccination. Placido was grateful to the city government for allotting vaccine jabs for the police force.
