TODAY has been a busy day for the Padayon Pilipino party members as the party bets filed their Certificates of Candidacy for Misamis Oriental.
Those who filed before the Provincial Comelec’s office early this afternoon were Gingoog Vice Mayor Peter M. Unabia, who is running for governor, and incumbent Vice Governor Jeremy Jonahmar Pelaez, who is seeking reelection.
Along with them were Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano, who is now running for congressman for the province’s 2nd district, and 1st District Rep. Christian Unabia, who is seeking another term in the Lower House.
Among those who file their candidacies this afternoon, were 1st district board members Wayne Militante, Fredrick Khu, Marlon Khu, Gerardo Sabal, and Syrae Mae Emano. While, the 2nd district candidates of the party Dexter Yasay, Onnie Abejo, and Rey Buhisan also filed their CoCs.
For his part, Unabia said he wants to serve the people of Misamis Oriental, to give hope, and a brighter future for the province.
The regional political party named their provincial bets’ team as “Paglaum.”
“P” stands for Participatory Governance; “A” for Agriculture Development for Poverty eradication: “G” for Goal Oriental Tourism Development; “L” for Livelihood and Employment through Industry Development: “A” for Aggressive programs for Youth Welfare and Development; “U” for Unified effort for health and social services delivery; and “M” for Mobilization of resources through equitable sharing.
Earlier today, former Cagayan de Oro City Councilor Nadya Emano-Elipe also filed her Certificate of Candidacy with her running mate Robinson Sabio.
Padayon Pilipino members started their day by hearing a mass in Tagoloan’s Nuestra Dela Candelaria Parish.
